Figure 1: GEO PSI COVID-19 Update

As the situation caused by COVID-19 quickly evolves, we want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to keep our employees, customers, and communities we work in safe. We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to implement all recommendations made by the local health authorities and governments.

At this time we have been able to adjust our operations so that our factory and field service capability will be able to remain fully operational.

We’ve adopted the practices recommended by the local health authorities to help reduce risk and break the cycle of infections.

This includes but is not limited to:

      • Social distancing
      • Frequent disinfection of our manufacturing and service facilities and equipment
      • Adoption of work from home policies wherever practical
      • Restricting all non-essential person-to-person meetings
      • Mandatory 14-day self-isolation for all employees returning from travel
      • Daily employee health screening

We have worked very closely with our critical supply chain partners and have secured enough critical raw materials to keep manufacturing downhole instrumentation systems until Q3 2020.

We express our deepest sympathies to those who have been affected, and ask that you join us in our efforts to slow the spread. If you have any questions, our customer support team is here to help (e-mail us at support@geopsi.com or visit our Contact page).

We thank all of our employees, customers, and supply chain partners for their continued efforts to put safety first and help to flatten the curve.

Permanent Downhole Gauges: Analog vs. Digital

Downhole Piezo-Resistive Pressure Tools At GEO PSI we manufacture downhole instrumentation sensors which are sold in many different markets across the world. We sell both analog 4-20 mA downhole pressure tools and several types of digital tools. Both analog tools and digital tools utilize the same type of piezo-resistive transducer, which is often called a sapphire,
