Intrinsically Safe Pressure, Temperature, & Density Measurement

Single or Multi-Point Suspended Measurement Systems for Corrosive and Non-Corrosive Chambers and Wellbores.

Intrinsically Safe Gauges

We manufacture Intrinsically Safe pressure and temperature monitoring systems that are designed to attach to Stainless Steel and Incoloy cable. These systems can be inserted into wellbores, chambers, tanks, and vessels to accurately measure pressure and temperature and specified depth in hazardous environments. Fluid level and gradient density can also be measured.

Below is a look at how our systems operate in two of our most common applications, tank storage and wellbores.

Especially in multi-gauge applications as shown above, our systems can be used to develop gradient density plots and liquid level calculations.

Applications with Explosion Potential

Whether it be monitoring propane tank storage, or optimizing an oil & gas well, there are many applications where hazardous materials or hazardous environments require highly reliable pressure and temperature monitoring.

Safety is our top priority at GEO PSI, and we are proud to build products that are designed to operate reliably and safely in some of the most demanding environments.

While our gauges can be deployed almost anywhere, below are some of the most common hazardous explosive environments where our systems provide critical data.

About Intrinsic Safety

Intrinsic Safety is a widely adopted protection concept in which the electrical energy within the equipment is restricted to a level which is below what may cause ignition, and limits the heating of the surface of the equipment.

GEO PSI GEOTRU gauges are Ex ia IIA T4…T1 Ga certified by IECEx

Ex – describes explosion protection.

ia – denotes that GEOTRU gauges are designed to be safe with 2 faults and suitable in Zone 0 area. Wellbore, Wellhead etc.

IIA – denotes protection in environments with Methane, Propane, Methanol etc.

T1 – means that GEOTRU gauges temperature protection classification is up to 450°C / 842°F

Ga – is the maximum equipment protection level, meaning that GEOTRU gauges are suitable for Zone 0,1, or 2.

Range of Intrinsically Safe Product Offering

In addition to our GEOTRU family of gauges, our GEO4-20 gauges also offer intrinsically safe ratings.

From 105°C to 300°C, low pressure to high pressure, we offer intrinsically safe products for every application and a range of budgets.

Our intrinsically safe GEO4-20 105 IECEx certified 4-20mA pressure gauge is the first cost-effective solution designed for measuring real-time pump intake pressure for artificial lift systems in oil & gas wells. This gauge is able to withstand vibrational forces exerted by high horsepower progressive cavity, rod, and ESP pumps.

Our innovative intrinsically safe GEOTRU gauges are designed to provide quality downhole pressure and temperature data for high-temperature wells. Reliability is increased through the use of quality materials and construction, as well as the removal of PCB’s from the gauge itself.

The Importance Of Lightning Protection

It’s lightning season – Are your downhole gauges and surface electronics protected? It’s spring again, and that means that we are heading into storm season! Especially in places like Texas and the Mid-West thunderstorms can wreak havoc on infrastructure including oilfield equipment. If you operate in a region where seasonal lightning strikes are common you’ll

Continued Fiber Optic Monitoring Success

Our team has recently completed another successful permanent downhole fiber optic cable & gauge installation. Members from both our Calgary, AB and Midland, TX service bases were on the road this week facilitating a fiber optic monitoring installation in Wyoming! Their experience and vast completions experience resulted in them enabling the successful deployment of a
